In this update episode:

I’ll let you know what is going on, what will happen in November, and we’ll hear something from the not so distant podcast past. “XXX – Expectations” was one of my first productions with Imp. It is a rare clip that Imp doesn’t want anyone to hear. It’s probably the one where I first realized that I could have fun with this thing. this thing that is now House of Imp – Where normal is odd and weird is a virtue.

Delusional creativity allowed.

Imp is wondering why I do it; put myself through things I’m afraid of. and wy he someday will have to send me to the asylum.

So I’m taking the rest of October off to finish work on the website and to record episodes. Real life stuff is also gnawing at my heals. We will be back on November 1st with a guest and more of Imps own issues revealed.

Take care and while we wait: check out House of Imp – Podcast on Facebook..
Support House of Imp, the creation, the creators, or perhaps even Imp himself. Word has it that he needs new socks. – We really need you. and thanks.

Imp has the day off for unknown reasons so I’m left to my own thoughts.
The transition from Studio Chaotic to House of Imp has started. But that’s not what this is about. It is however the reason for missing the audio intro. I simply needed to get something out there. Me, not JennyK, not Imp.
And this is what can happen when I’m left to do too much thinking. πŸ™‚

Catch ya next time with updates on the slightly different podcast format and other stuff I can’t think of at the moment.

Imp is a bit worried. Apparently I think too much and it could kill me.
this is a shorter episode for a reason. I am in the process of changing it up. I need a new name, new image, new intro, and a slightly different approach. The content will be more or less the sam. But I’ve grown tired of the name. “Studio chaotic” is the name of my studio as well as company -when I’m in need of a company name – but it’s not a name for a podcast. I don’t go into it much here. Just letting you know what’s going on. I’ll give myself a month to get stuff ready. Next episode, I’ll let you know how it goes.

But for now; enjoy “Spoilt” by Icarus machine, a rant and some thinking.

What’s the difference between parasites and adult children living at home?

Well, sometimes none that I can see.

There are times when and episode is begging me to be recorded, then screaming at me to not be heard.
This is one of those.

There’s too much truth here, and I’m throwing people under the bus. That is not like me. so it was hard to decide. In the end I did a few small revisions and added both my reservations and my stubborn need to say what I need to say. the truth, but only part of it, with a few mean jokes along the way. Those were Imp’s idea though. Honest! πŸ˜€

Kids moving back home indefinitely or simply never bothering to grow up to move out in the first place. That is what I’m talking about here. don’t get me wrong; helping out ones children is a good thing. It’s natural, it’s the right thing to do. It’s when the power dynamic shifts and the “temporary” becomes “indefinitely” and unreasonable becomes normal and the trap has closed that is the real issue. It’s far too common and creates so many problems. It’s easy to immediately use the word “millennial” — The entitled generation. I say it’s easy but I don’t necessarily agree with it. Generalizing is always dangerous and I try hard not to do that. But the sad truth is that it’s the horrible examples that gets showcased. It’s not fair because I know it’s still a small fraction of children in their twenties and early thirties who appear to be just like described; entitled freeloading young adults thinking the world owes them something, kids taking no responsibility for their own behaviour, individuals who tend to use guilt to blame their parents into giving them what they want so they don’t have to work for it.

It’s not all children. and to be fair, not all parents are saints. Too many kids lack support of any kind from their parents. Sometimes shit happens to kids and it has nothing to do with their parents. But I’m not talking about any of that today. It’s a completely different episode, with another personal story. I can only handle so much honesty in one go. πŸ˜€

So that is that. disclaimers and reservations complete. and it is funny. If you feel targeted and offended on behalf of yourself or someone you know, keep in mind that this is my truth. And it was all Imp’s idea anyways.

Enjoy. πŸ˜€

Disclaimer:
Although I think the idea is cool and there’s much fun to be had with ASMR, it turned out to be more difficult than I had thought. Not so much the ASMR aspect of it, but the state of gear in this studio. I didn’t really hav the right props for what I wanted to do. so it’s a bit of a hack. I used two different types of microphones to create some type of stereo image – Because those are the only two microphones I own – it didn’t turn out all that great. Being squished into the vocal booth with those microphones plus all the props I needed, plus me – because that is the only quiet place in the house- didn’t make it an easy job. But I learned a shitload of stuff along the way. And really, I am working hard to remove this perfectionism I suffer from so I’m thinking it’s a good thing. I went from despair to gleeful silly creativity at each step of this nonsense.

So take it for what it is; A fun learning experience and a bit of sick twisted story-telling. πŸ˜€

Note:
I would recommend, if you’re thinking “what the fuck is ASMR?”, to ask Mr. Google. It won’t make much sense if you don’t really know what this is a parody of. πŸ˜€
